Dandelion - A weed with incredible medicinal powers



Known for hundreds of years, the Dandelion is considered a powerful medicinal herbs in many cultures. It is used to detoxify. If works closely with the Liver and the Stomach . It cools the heat in those organs resolving toxicity.

It is bitter, sweet and cold in nature.

It is used in many herbal prescriptions for chronic or serious conditions. But if you would like to enjoy a cup of dandelion tea it will help with an upset stomach especially after consuming spicy food, intestinal gas, constipation.

It is high in vitamin A, C, K, E and B, containing also Iron, Calcium and Magnesium

Dandelion is also a reach source of beta carotene and polyphenolic compounds – both strong antioxidants which would help to reduce inflammation.

The power of the fresh herb to cool and resolve toxicity is stronger than the dry form and has a wider scope of action: swollen or toxic sores, swollen ears, redness, swelling or pain of the eyes. It can be ingested or applied externally or both simultaneously.

Used in excess may cause diarrhea, vomiting and/or nausea, urticaria and abdominal discomfort.
