Rice has its beginnings in 2500BC in China. The legend has it as a gift from animals.
After a flood devastated all plants, no food was available. One day a dog ran to people with rice seeds in his tail. The people planted the seeds, rice grew and hunger disappeared.
Slow cooked rice with the traditional Chinese herbs of dates and cinemon can be a great healthy breakfast. The Chinese call it congee, it will warm you up on a cold autumn morning.
